Network Development Group (NDG), is pleased to announce the beta release of a new version of NETLAB+, designed to run as a virtual appliance within the VMware vSphere environment.  This new, virtual edition of NETLAB+, NETLAB+ VE, marks a major change from the physical hardware version of NETLAB+ that has served hundreds of thousands of learners for the past 15 years. With an updated user interface and dockable windows, NETLAB+ VE has a fresh, new look and feel. Great new features, including a new PC viewer using HTML5 (replacing Java), help make the updated environment easier to use and more engaging.

We are currently offering NETLAB+ VE as a beta release to our existing customers. You will be offered the opportunity to run NETLAB+ VE in parallel with your existing NETLAB+ deployment for 12 months. Participation in the beta release is optional, but it’s the perfect way to get started for those of you who are excited about the new, virtual edition of NETLAB+.

Please note that this beta version of NETLAB+ VE does not support physical lab devices, such as Cisco routers and switches.  There are also several feature improvements in final stages of development, including alerts and usage reporting, which will be made available in later NETLAB+ VE versions. NETLAB+ VE will also feature an Application Program Interface (API), available soon, which will allow administrators to develop custom automation of many administrative tasks.

If your organization is interested in participating in the beta release of NETLAB+ VE, please review and accept the NETLAB+ VE software license agreement: https://www.netdevgroup.com/products/agreement. Due to anticipated high-volume, please allow up to 2 weeks for a response to your request.
